The μWIND turbines system is designed and optimized to be integrated into the building architectural design by close cooperation with architectural studios and urban planners. This way the μWIND turbines harvest full power even at smaller winds by using pressure difference caused by the building itself.

By leveraging wind speed with our innovative technology and high integration into the building's architecture the μWIND turbines perform significantly better than similar renewable energy sources. The μWIND turbines are quiet, lightweight, slick and powerfull.

The ducted μWIND turbines provide twice more power than standard wind turbines not mentioning increased wind speed at the rooftop which contributes further to higher power output. Single μWIND turbine can provide up to 2.5kW of power continuously.

Faster Return

Installing the μWIND turbines on strategically localized buildings guarantees quick return on investment and long term profitability. Operation in conjunction with photovoltaic system allows more predictable and continuous power generation all year round.

Optimized for Integration into Architectural Design

The μWIND turbines are small and lightweight (<3.5 m total height) and dedicated to be mounted in batches on the building roof tops. The turbines are self-aligning with the wind to account for high wind gusts common on the rooftops. The advanced diffuser is used to increase the turbine power as much as 2 time that of a turbine without one. Moreover it highlights the μWIND system unusual yet aesthetic look while minimizing noise and vibrations.

μWIND-VT: Reliability at unpredictable wind conditions

Our custom designed vertical axis version - μWIND-VT system based on turbines installed in pairs offers reliable and efficient power generation even at high wind gusts and rapid direction changes. Unique U-shaped skewed blade design and optimization for architectural integration make the system perfect for installation around the roof top edges to harvest additional power caused by pressure difference due to the building walls. The μWIND-VT are also exceptionally durable to extreme weather conditions.


Research Progress and Pilot Residential Installations

At this stage the fundamental research and feasibility studies have been completed and the μWIND turbines are being designed optimized to demonstrate the technology in the real environment, which are urban and suburban building's roof tops.
