A concept and engineering project for a submerged drive system intended for integration with a small watercraft. The main challenge was combining the propulsion function with a compact housing suitable for operation in a marine environment.
The work included coordination of the design process, development of engineering solutions, integration analysis and CAD modelling. The concept required simultaneous consideration of drive geometry, mounting, cooling, sealing, service access and the spatial constraints of the vessel.
The project is presented as an engineering concept study. The public description intentionally excludes technical parameters and information identifying project partners.
ChallengeDesign a compact electric drive that can be integrated with the hull and accommodate the specific loads of a marine environment. |
IMEE RoleWork coordination, concept development, engineering problem-solving, CAD modelling and coordination of interfaces between subsystems. |
StatusA concept and engineering study preparing the solution for further verification, prototyping and testing. |
The models supported evaluation of packaging, mounting, service access and relationships between the main subsystems before proceeding to subsequent project stages.
